Bastyr University offers an undergrad program for Herbal Sciences.

everything seems to be the laying of stones to create a path, for the laying of stones.

*whimsical dreamy sigh*

I believe that my friend ladymoira is planning to go there after she finishes her current course of studies.

that is so awesome. the other schools for naturopathic medicine doesn't offer undergraduate curriculums.

Sounds like a nice University. ;) I didn't check but do they do online classes, and are they expensive?

it's a very specialized school hun. it's the only post grad school for naturopathic medicine that offers any undergrad programs. so while they may have a couple of classes that can be taken online--it isn't a school that a person can just do online classes. (not sure if any of the classes are offered online or not.)

tuition is based on which program you are enrolled for:
first year costs
BS Herbal Sciences 45 (Average # of Credits)
$ 15,300 (Tuition & Fees)
$900 (Books & Supplies)
$27,146 (Year Total ---the budget used to determine financial aid eligibility allows for $10,946 in living expenses for a 9-month period)

also, keep in mind that one has to already have a min. of 90 credit hours in the prereqs. for the program. which means that i will have to continue schooling here in lexington after i get my massage certification, before i can even hope to qualify.

WOW! But I'm sure the prereq's won't be a problem for you, and by then you'll be fat off the hog with clients, you'll be ready and rearin to go for it. :D

basically, after i get my liscense then i'll have to enroll (as a freshman) at the local community college and take what classes i can take while i work. the good part is that i'll be gaining the experience that i need as a massage therapist in the process, so that i can eventually get a teaching job as i work towards the next steps.

while i would love to get a BS in herbal sciences, the bigger goal is to get into naturopathic med school. so once i have the prereqs. it will depend a lot on what/where i am able to get a job. i don't know if that made any sense.
